Project Superintendent
Position Overview
Sprint Mechanical is seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Superintendent to lead field execution on mechanical construction projects within semiconductor and data center environments. This role is responsible for overseeing daily jobsite operations, coordinating field crews, managing subcontractors, and ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and schedules. The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience in mission-critical construction environments and demonstrates the ability to drive productivity, enforce safety and quality standards, and maintain schedule performance.

Key Responsibilities
Field Operations & Execution
-
Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for mechanical scopes

Coordinate daily work activities with foremen, crews, and subcontractors
-
Ensure work is performed in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project requirements

Plan and manage manpower, equipment, and material needs
-
Maintain daily field reports and documentation
Schedule & Productivity Management
-
Execute project schedules and coordinate sequencing of work
-
Monitor workforce productivity and adjust resources as needed
-
Identify and resolve field issues impacting schedule or performance
-
Coordinate with Project Manager on schedule updates and forecasts
Safety Leadership
-
Enforce Sprint Mechanical’s safety policies and procedures
-
Promote a proactive safety culture and hazard awareness
-
Ensure compliance with OSHA, state regulations, and client-specific requirements
-
Conduct daily safety meetings, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and site walkthroughs
-
Stop unsafe work and implement corrective actions when necessary
Quality Control
-
Ensure installations meet project specifications and quality standards
-
Coordinate inspections with Quality Control personnel

Identify and correct deficiencies in a timely manner
-
Support testing, commissioning, and system turnover activities
Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with Project Managers, engineers, and client representatives
-
Participate in coordination and planning meetings
- Communicate project expectations clearly to field teams
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure efficient workflow
Material & Equipment Management

Coordinate material deliveries and verify quantities and quality

Ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of materials

Manage jobsite equipment and tools effectively
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
Required
-
7+ years of experience in mechanical construction field operations
-
3+ years of experience in a supervisory or superintendent role
-
Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems
-
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules

Proven leadership and team management skills
-
Strong communication and organizational abilities5+ years of Project Management experience in mechanical construction
Preferred
-
Experience in semiconductor or data center construction
-
Familiarity with cleanroom and mission-critical environments
-
Experience managing large-scale mechanical scopes
-
Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, and/or Primavera
-
Knowledge of BIM coordination and model-based project execution
-
OSHA 30 certification
