Project Safety Manager

Position Overview

Sprint Mechanical is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to lead safety operations on large-scale industrial, semiconductor, and data center construction projects. This position is responsible for overseeing field safety programs, ensuring regulatory and client compliance, and driving a culture where safety is not a priority — but a core value and condition of employment.

The ideal candidate has experience managing safety within mission-critical construction environments and demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. This position operates within highly regulated semiconductor and mission-critical construction environments. The Safety Manager must demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and the ability to enforce standards respectfully while collaborating with client safety teams and trade partners. Key Responsibilities

Safety Leadership & Program Oversight

  • Lead and enforce Sprint Mechanical’s Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) program

  • Promote a proactive safety culture focused on hazard recognition and risk mitigation

  • Serve as the primary safety liaison with clients, trade partners, and site leadership

  • Mentor and supervise Field Safety Technicians and safety staff

Regulatory & Client Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, state regulations, and client-specific safety standards

  • Maintain adherence to semiconductor/data center site protocols and permit systems

  • Support and participate in internal and external safety audits

  • Maintain safety documentation in accordance with company and client requirements

Risk Management & High-Risk Activity Oversight

  • Oversee high-risk activities including:

    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)

    • Confined Space Entry

    • Fall Protection & Elevated Work

    • Rigging & Critical Lifts

    • Energized Systems

    • Hot Work

  • Review and approve Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and pre-task plans

  • Stop unsafe work and implement corrective actions when necessary

Incident Management & Reporting

  • Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions

  • Develop corrective action plans and track resolution

  • Analyze trends and implement preventative measures

  • Prepare required safety reports and maintain OSHA recordkeeping compliance

Training & Development

  • Conduct site safety orientations

  • Facilitate supervisor safety training and toolbox talks

  • Support continuous safety improvement initiatives

  • Ensure employees meet all required certifications and site access requirements

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience

  • Experience in industrial, semiconductor, or data center construction environments

  • OSHA 30 (Construction)

  • Strong knowledge of federal and state safety regulations

  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred

  • CHST, CSP, or other recognized safety certification

  • Experience working within mission-critical or cleanroom environments

  • CPR/First Aid certification

  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, or digital safety tracking platforms
